hi there.
recently i purchased a new PC. here are the details:
E6750
ASUS P5K-SE
GEFORCE 8600GTS EXTREME
DDR2 1024 800MHZ CL4 }X2
ERERMAX LIBERTY 400W
i installed counter strike source.
all went well until i tried to connect to a server with the map "de_inferno"
that was a "heavy" map.
when trying to connect i get a weird message:
and when press ok game just stop responding and i end the process.
i found out that i'm not the only guy with the same problem so i've been told to try connecting to the map "de_nuke".
sometimes it says the same message as "de_inferno" and sometimes this message:
(this message appears only when i'm NOT using these commands:
r_rootlod 2
mat_reducefillrate 1
another freaky thing is that when i "create server" with the map "De_inferno" the map is loading well and i'm able to play!
i formated my computer,
i deleted the game and reinstalled
and the problem appeard again.
if someone can find a reasonable answer i'll be greatfull
