הנה התוצאות של IGN לWii:
Best Action Game:
Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition
It may have been released two years ago on GameCube, but when it comes to pure quality, intensity, and overall bang for your buck, there's no beating Resident Evil 4. Teaming IR control for quick aiming, motion control attacks, and all the content from both the GCN and PS2 versions before it, RE4: Wii Edition is a no-brainer for IGN gold once again.
Best Adventure Game:
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
Half shooter, half adventure game, Metroid Prime 3 Corruption more than lived up to the hype as Retro's space saga finale. Teaming incredible IR control and some of the slickest and immersive motion in any Wii game to date, Metroid Prime 3 finished the series off with a bang, beating out sleeper hit Zack & Wiki with its superior story and immersive puzzle design.
Best Fighting Game:
Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution
Best fighting game was a true battle this year, as Naruto and Dragon Ball Z butted heads. This year, Naruto's traditional - and in our opinion, more balanced and strategic - offering won out, bringing back the best of the GameCube series with a strong cast of fighters and some great competitive battling.
Best First-Person Shooter:
Medal of Honor Heroes 2
With Prime 3 classified as an adventure title, Medal of Honor Heroes 2 had very little competition this year. Offering 32-player online, faster - and more accurate - twitch control than MP3, and a Zapper-specific arcade mode, Heroes 2 raised the bar for Wii FPS games. It's without a doubt the best shooter on the system.
Best Music Game:
Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock
Despite the Wii version's shortcomings in comparison to the other console versions, Guitar Hero III still blows away the competition for best music game on the system. As the console's first offering, GHIII brings an intense, addictive, and diverse experience that makes DDR's long-lasting arcade reign look like a fluke. Simply unrivaled.
Best Platform Game:
Super Mario Galaxy
A no-brainer in its genre, Mario again raises the bar. Everything from gravity puzzles to world-to-world platforming made Mario's return all the sweeter. Each star offered an entirely different experience, and each world played by its own rules. The control is tight, the Wii motion wasn't forced, and the result is what many consider to be the best 3D Mario to date.
Best RPG:
Super Paper Mario
Wii's RPG offering was extremely slim this year, but despite having little competition Super Paper Mario still blew us away. As a hybrid platformer/role-playing game, Mario mixed 8-bit nostalgia with a quirky story and a new 2D/3D world. Super Paper Mario is one of the best games of the year on Wii and easily the top RPG.
Best Simulation Game:
Trauma Center: New Blood
Returning from last year's success, New Blood took everything players loved from the previous games and deepened it, including new missions, 16:9/480p display, co-op gameplay, more character VO and online rankings. This sequel to one of the console's top launch titles is one of Wii's best games of the year.
Best Sports Game:
SSX Blur
EA's snowboarding series returned to Wii this year and showed skeptics just how impressive a full-motion alternative sports title can be. Carving, tricking, and the two-handed ubers make this one worthy of excellence, beating out MLB Power Pros and Madden for Wii's top sports offering. This is boarding done right.
Best Strategy Game:
Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn
This blast from GameCube's past may not have used the Wii's IR or motion functionality, but it lived up to its name with pure turn-based strategy. Characters, weapons and spells return, this time adding height-based strategy and a larger cast to continue Fire Emblem's tradition of excellence. It's a simple design, but impressive nonetheless.
Best Graphics Technology:
Super Mario Galaxy
Super Mario Galaxy not only raised the bar through its immersive gameplay, but also with its impressive visuals. Incorporating everything from bloom lighting to a unique "fur-shading" system and tons of advanced texturing, Galaxy rises to the top of Wii's visual offerings with ease. It's beautiful, fluid, and visually captivating. Developers take note.
Best Artistic Design:
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
With contenders like Zack & Wiki close behind, Retro again pulled out all the stops with Prime 3, creating a world that was moody, beautiful, and full of life. Everything from the rushing waterfalls of lava, to the light snowfall and corrupt planets sucked players in, as Corruption created yet another amazing world for hardcore gamers to dive into.
Best Original Score:
Super Mario Galaxy
You won't see any arguments here. Mixing beautifully orchestrated compositions with classic eight and 16-bit inspired midi, composers Mahito Yokota and the legendary Koji Kondo teamed up to deliver what is hands-down the most majestic and captivating Mario score in over a decade. Whether it was the new orchestral sound or the nods back to original Mario Bros. compositions, Super Mario Galaxy is an audio masterpiece.
Best Licensed Soundtrack:
Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock
As what many have considered the top set list in series history, Guitar Hero III's licensed offering easily took the cake this year. With hits such as Slow Ride, Welcome to the Jungle, Black Magic Woman, One, and The Number of the Beast, Guitar Hero III combined everything from classic rock to current funk, and everything in between.
Best Use of Sound:
Super Mario Galaxy
Going hand-in-hand with Best Original Score, Galaxy combined classic retro sound effects with more lovable VO, and an overwhelming attention to detail. Everything from the tiny squeak of Mario's shoes to the very specific use of Wii remote audio worked, and blended well enough to meld perfectly with the overall Galaxy experience.
Best Story:
Scarface: The World is Yours
With many Wii efforts heavy on gameplay and light on story, Scarface stood out in its creation of the classic film's alternate ending. The city of Miami was reborn, featuring the same music, locales, characters, script, and feel of the 1983 gangster classic, as players took revenge and rebuilt their empire piece by bloody piece.
Best Local Multiplayer Game:
Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock
There's no better feeling than grabbing a couple guitars and rocking out with a buddy. Wii is bringing back the more intimate, local multiplayer gameplay sessions, but Guitar Hero III takes the cake, offering full co-op, face-off, and battle modes across some of the best music in rock's history. We'd give the award to someone else, but we don't want to put the guitars down.
Best Online Multiplayer Game:
Medal of Honor Heroes 2
On a system that's extremely light in the online multiplayer category, Heroes 2 set a new standard for Wii's future with 32 players, multiple modes, no friend codes, and very little lag during even the most heated matches. We'd kill for voice chat, but we'll hold back until Heroes 3 arrives. This is how online is supposed to be done.
Most Innovative Design:
Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure
We didn't expect it, but Capcom's "Treasure Island Z" ended up setting the bar extremely high for third-party efforts on Wii this year. Utilizing impressive cel-shading graphics that rival Wind Waker and teaming hilariously obscure characters with humorous animation, Zack & Wiki proves that it doesn't take an HD powerhouse console to create a unique and captivating world.
Best Use of the Wii-Mote:
Medal of Honor Heroes 2
With a long list of contenders, Heroes 2 took the cake for Best Use of the Wii-Mote by pairing a huge amount of player customization and options with some simple but well-done motion control. IR sensitivity, turn sensitivity, and bounding box customization - hardcore Wii fans have been demanding more from the FPS genre, and Heroes 2 delivers.
Best Game No One Played:
Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure
Success doesn't always mean sales, as one of Wii's best games of the year is also being ignored by the general public. New IPs are always an uphill struggle, and despite it being the best third-party game on the console, Zack & Wiki needs a sales boost. We've said it before, and we'll say it again: Buy Zack & Wiki.
Biggest Surprise:
Zack & Wiki - Lame Name, Great Game
Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure didn't exactly win us over, but then again neither did "Project Treasure Island Z". Even more surprising than the outlandish name, however, was the fact that Z-Dub is a simply amazing game, scoring a solid 9.0 and IGN Editor's Choice award. The name is still lame, but who cares?
Best Developer:
Nintendo (EAD Tokyo)
This should come as no surprise. Nintendo is known for setting the bar high on its consoles, and this year's Wii offering is no different. As an overall company, Nintendo put out an impressive list of must-have titles, and at the top of the list sits Nintendo EAD Tokyo, for a simply remarkable job on Galaxy.
Wii Game of the Year:
Super Mario Galaxy
Despite some impressive competition, Super Mario Galaxy's award comes as no surprise. Mixing amazing platforming, an all-new world design, some of the best music in any Nintendo game out there, and a perfect blend of old and new, Galaxy takes the gold. It's not only the best Wii game of the year, but the top title on the system.
