קודם כל הוכרזה הבטא, 
אבל לא קוראים לה בטא אלא multiplayer test. האנשים שיבחרו לבטא יהיו אנשים מהפורומים, וובמסטרים וסתם אנשים פשוטים שיעשו sign up לטסט ויתפלל שהם יבחרו.

"The Generals graphics are simply awesome...tanks leave tracks in their wake, and can push over walls and trees. Explosions cause flying debris to rain down on anything in it's path...we're talking flying bodies, vehicle parts. Realistic physics to say the least.Each unit in the game has a number of various functions. Some of the most basic units like the US Rangers become very powerful when upgraded. The Chinese and GLA can take enemy units prisoner. The GLA uses tranquilizer darts to knock out enemy soldiers, and also special snipers that can fire through tank armor to kill tank drivers and capture their vehicle. The GLA "Bomb Truck" can disguise itself as any unit in the game and can sneak into an enemy base with a bomb strapped onto it.

Greeting everyone. I'm sure you are all eager to know more about the upcoming multiplayer test not to mention those rumors about the map editor been released to a few map makers in the community. Well, I took the liberty to email Delphi asking him those exact questions plus one more on the existence of the Paladin Tank. Here's what Chris replied:
1. Is the Paladin Tank still in the game and if so, is there any chance we might spot it in a screenshot ?
Delphi: Yes, most of the screens have the Paladin and Crusader tanks in them.
2. Has the map editor been distributed to websites or map makers yet ? Will it happen and if so, when ?
Delphi: Only a few high level map makers from the C&C; and Starcraft communities have had a chance to play with the editor. The full release will happen 1 month before the game ships.
3. Will we be testing the anonymous match making system in the multiplayer test or are we limited to custom games ?
Delphi: Both!
Well there you have it folks, some straight answers from the man himself (I must say I'm a bit surprised about that hehe). After extensive discussions and debating with Steve (Shinano) on whether the Paladin Tank is still in the game, I'm relieved to have settled this once and for all. Btw you might want to check out the information section, you'll find a picture of it and a small description. Moreover, it is encouraging to know that only a handful of people had the chance to see the map editor (and tamper with it) so hopefully this will put a stop to all the strange rumors out there. Last but not least, we now know for sure that anonymous matchmaking plus custom game options will be in the test, it is quite reasonable too. That sums it up. Carry on soldier...
