אוקיי, כמה faqים עם דלפי ולואיס:
Morph- In the new Gamespy preview of Generals, it was said that we could create our own cutscenes. Has this future been worked out yet? Also, what will the cutscenes look like?
Delphi- The cut scenes will all be done with the ingame engine. So if you saw the intro to the E3 demo, you can create something very similar. =)Morph- In Tiberian Sun we saw terrain altering affects, like explosions causing crater type things in the ground. Can we expect to see this in C&C; Generals?
Delphi- Presently there are no plans for deformable terrain found in TS. We do have events like dams being destroyed and washing out villages, as shown in the E3 demo. Very cool stuff!
Morph- Will trains make a return in Generals, from Tiberian Sun? If so, what units or supplies will we be able to use it for? (if any)
Delphi- =)

Once again, Morphious from Statik Vision has given us a great Q&A.; This time its with Louis Castle, the Co-founder and General Manager of Westwood. Pretty cool huh? Any way, here the good stuff:
Morph-A few months ago, Westwood Studios branched off into EA Pacific. Are these two companies seperate, or are they working together? Which are you in charge of?
Louis-Westwood's Irvine development studio has done an exceptional job with Nox, Red Alert and Yuri's revenge. Under the superb leadership of Mark Skaggs it became clear they were perfectly able to run and build their own studio and so, Westwood Pacific became EA Pacific and they are off on their own creating the fantastic new Command & Conquer Generals. As Westwood's General Manager I continue to run the Las Vegas-based Westwood studios I founded with Brett Sperry in 1985. Aside for the titles listed above our studio is responsible for every Westwood title created in the past 17 years. We communicate closely with all EA studios and especially Pacific given our history, but they are now entirely independent from Westwood.
Morph-It seems as though hardcore Westwood fans hate Blizzard; what are your thoughts on this?
Louis-Well I hope not! Blizzard makes great games and the industry needs as many companies that make great products as it can get. The early rivalry between Westwood and Blizzard helped to push both companies to make better products so fans of all RTS games should be thrilled that we both existed to push the bar to new heights.
More good stuff coming from Morphious. Special thanks to him. You can read the rest of the Q&A; by clicking here.
Webmaster's Comment: Certainly a very interesting read. I was really impressed by the way Louis intones that "the superb leadership of Mark Skaggs" made it clear that "they were perfectly able to run and build their own studio" considering that EA usually enforces a scrict policy on its companies and I bet that they were other factors as well that led to EAP being independent from the Las Vegas HQ than they are willing to disclose. Another interesting fact is that Louis mentions the name of Brett Sperry whose whereabouts were pretty much unknown until very recently. He was supposed to be on a sabbatical then we later heard that he is still with the company as an "advisor" for E&B; which is quite strange, considering that he was one of the original founders. Is there something else at work here ? I guess we'll never really know for sure. As for the other questions there aren't many points to comment on, we know that E&B; is almost ready for release, although the beta test seems endless and this raises a number of questions about the future/concept of the game. The responce on the Tiberian Series been continued was not unexpected either, what was a bit unexpected was the answer regarding the way fans feel about Blizzard. I understand that Louis is just trying to be diplomatic and not encourage hostilities but if we are to face cold facts we must accept that most hardcore WW fans DO have an unexplained, hostile attitude towards Blizzard's games. You only have to look at some community forums/chats to be convinced and trust me I've been with the community for some time, not very long but certainly enough to know what I'm talking about. Well that's it, enjoy the rest of the interview.

- Transnote from Renegade Generals has asked has Delphi what the dots in the corner of the screenshots of C&C;: Generals mean. Here's what Chris replied :
"Delphi: They just indicate what side we have selected at that time. It's a debug thing.
"
- Doc from XRA2X has also asked a couple of questions to get a very definite answer from Chris (lol) :
"Doc: When will you be making a new announcement about the "multiplayer test"? The whole community is on their toes ready to get the multiplayer test of Generals.
When does Westwood plan to release the Official Generals Site?
Delphi: Soon!"
Just charming heh. Well there you have it folks, later all...
