Sony is getting serious about massively multiplayer online gaming. MMO, as it's known in the industry, is where thousands of people pay a monthly fee to play one another in a cyber universe. Flush with the success of its MMO game "EverQuest," Sony Online Entertainment has been in negotiations with Marvel Entertainment, intent on creating an MMO universe filled with some of Marvel's 4,700 superheroes, including Spider-Man, the X-Men, Daredevil, the Hulk and Blade. Although Korean video game publisher NCSoft is developing "City of Heroes," an unlicensed MMO that will let players create their own superheroes, Sony Online Entertainment vp marketing Scott McDaniel said an MMO coming from a Sony/Marvel partnership would have a broader appeal than the NCSoft game.

אני מקווה מאוד שיצא לכל הקונסולות. לא משנה שמדובר בסוני, מארבל בדרך כלל מולטיפלאטפורם, ולכן יכולים להביא את המשחקים לשאר המערכות, אבל דבר כזה יקרה רק אם המפתחים לא יהיו סוני.... כמו שלוקאס ארטס מוציאים את סטארוורז גאלאקסיז לאקסבוקס!!

קרוב לוודאי שסוני יפיצו את המשחק, השאלה מי יתחזק את השרתים ויפתח את הכותר, רוב הסיכויים שאלה יהיו סוני. סוני לא ממהרים להביא הכל לפס2, אבל הם יכולים לנהגו בחוכמה ולפתח את הכותר הזה מההתחלה גם לפס2 ולמחשב.

Okey dokey...I've had a fair amount of time watching and playing for the past week and I'd like to share the experience with you folks.

At first, I wasn't that impressed. Yes, it is Square, but it started off predictable. Everything seemed so familiar.

But, this game really grows on you! I've gone from being mildly entertained to having a deep hunger to keep playing...I'm basically buying the beer now (the good stuff) to bribe my friend to let me play

Without giving too much away...the great thing about Kingdom Hearts is how everything unfolds and how there is so much to do.

I'm about 6 or 8 hours in, but I feel like I've barely scratched the surface. It does remind me of Zelda because there is so much to explore and so much to do.

Every level and area has hidden items and interesting features and it's pure joy to explore. You can think of them as side quests (finding 10 certain items, locating hidden items and activating trinity buttons...won't explain it now) And finding them isn't as pointless, as it is in some games. There are benefits to collecting the goodies.

At first I thought the combat was a little tired and repetitive but it has really grown on me, too. You lock on to targets with R1 and you attack with X...pretty simple, right? Well, it gets more intricate when you learn magic and special moves that can be incorporated in your normal hack-n-slash routine. It won't be regarded as the most sophisticated combat, but I like the old school feel...especially with boss battles.

I wasn't sure how I was going to like not being able to control your party members, but everything works out fine and if you want, you can choose from preset or custom behaviors which lets you control when they defend, use magic, use potions, etc.

Graphics and presentation
Top notch! I feel sorry for people who see the simple, stylized characters and relate it to sub-standard graphics. It's the style people. Nice colors, smooth forms and nice animations (the facial animations for human characters could use some work though)

And some of the heartless characters are incredibly imaginative in design. I can't remember the name of the boss in Wonderland, but he was pretty wild looking.

The voice acting is great! It's almost too good though. The overly animated gestures seem to be a safety net for unconvincing voice actors...but it's not needed here. Absolutely NO complaints about the voice acting...it will spoil you

There are a few areas I'm a little gray on though. When you travel between worlds, you use what's called a gummi ship. Your trip is similar to a 3d Galaga game. You fly your craft through hoops, blast enemies, etc. The problem is, it's very difficult to know your angle with surrounding objects. For instance, it looked like I was in the middle of the screen but I was bumping in to enemies below. It takes a while to get the hang of it.

And a cool but confusing feature is the gummi ship garage. You can collect pieces and blueprints and build your own ships but I've found it to be pretty complicated, even with the tutorial.

Well, that's all for now.

And I probably don't need to tell you this, but this is going to be an awesome game people. They put a lot of work into this and it shows. So many layers of activities and so many areas to explore...awesome
