Tales of the World: Summoner's Legacy is set in the same world as the Super Famicom and PSone RPG, Tales of Phantasia. The game stars Fulein Lester, the descendant of Klarth F. Lester, a summoner who is always accompanied by his fairy companion, Macaroon.

Summoner's Legacy sees Fulein leaving home and travelling the world, collecting Summons and attaching them to characters. By combining people and creatures, new skills are learned. Why, of course, he's going to this trouble is not yet known.

Tales of the World: Summoner's Legacy is due out in Japan next Spring. It's currently 30% complete.

New Seiken Densetsu info!
The newest issue of Japanese gaming magazine, Nintendo Dream, a publication obviously dedicated to covering all things Nintendo, has some small pieces of information gamers looking forward to Seiken Densetsu: New Testament for the Game Boy Advance might want to know.

Seiken Densetsu: New Testament is actually an upgraded port of the original Seiken Densetsu, which was released on the Game Boy way back in 1991 was Final Fantasy Adventure. Except for the core storyline, however, everything will be completely new; this includes graphics, gameplay, and an upgraded gameplay system.

The newest report indicates that the game will share a lot of similarities to its Super Nintendo sequels, Secret of Mana and Seiken Densetsu III (which was never released in North America). It looks like the item ring will be making its return.

Also, fans should be glad to hear that characters that starred in later installments (which actually occur earlier in the SD timeline) will make cameo appearances in Seiken Densetsu: New Testament. The developers aren't saying much, but it should be interesting to see how they'll manage to incorporate heroes that have been dead for millennia.

Finally, Brownie Brown, the game's developer, has stated that their newest project has more "volume" than their previous GBA game, Magical Vacation. Unfortunately, MV never made it Stateside even though Nintendo initially announced plans to bring it; regardless, action/RPG fans should expect a good, long quest.

One of the biggest additions to the play mechanics is a rule called Law, which is prominent in Invalice, the game's world. Law changes each battle's conditions, and it's possible for the player to make minute editions to it, via charts, before combat to turn things in his or her favor. There's also a class that allows the player to combine several Law characteristic to enhance their chances even more.

Also, the main character, Marshe, will run into various separate clans in his journey through Invalice. Each group will have a different reaction, but the hero can affect how they treat him; this is important, because Marshe will need their help to continue his quest successfully.

Final Fantasy Tactics Advance is due out in Japan on February 14th for 5800 yen. An American release is expected later next year, but nothing official has been announced. We'll keep you posted.
