משחק הכדורעף במשחק הוא משחק פשוט למדי, משחק די טיפשי אפשר לומר, אבל כאשר אתה רואה בחורה מושלמת קופצת לכדור זה גורם לך לרצות את המשחק!

Tecmo shows off limited portions of its Dead or Alive-themed beach volleyball game.

Tecmo is showing off a trailer for its upcoming sports game, Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball, at the Tokyo Game Show. While the trailer doesn't seem to show off a ton of actual gameplay, it does show off a few of the features in the game and give a bit of the story behind this absurd fighting game spin-off.
The beginning of the trailer shows us that Zack was the winner of the Dead or Alive 3 tournament, taking his winnings to Vegas and parlaying them into an even larger stack of cash. With that money, he buys an island paradise, renaming it Zack Island, and opening a tropical resort. It's here that the "xtreme" beach volleyball takes place.

Most of the trailer focuses on showing the girls of Dead or Alive bouncing around on and off the volleyball court in a variety of bikinis. You will earn money in the game, which can be used to purchase new bikinis and other accessories, such as hair ribbons, shoes, and suntan lotion.

The trailer goes on to show some actual volleyball, which, like the rest of the trailer, appears to be well-animated. The ball physics look pretty realistic. It's difficult to get much of a sense for the gameplay, since the trailer seems to focus more on the girls interacting with one-another. The trailer closes with one girl feeding another one of the girls a strawberry, sticking her finger into the girl's mouth in the process. To be honest, the whole thing feels a little creepy.

Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball is scheduled to land on Japanese shelves on December 5.

Tecmo revealed a new trailer from Team Ninja's upcoming Xbox game Ninja Gaiden today at their booth in the Tokyo Game Show. Tecmo prohibited any pictures or videotaping, so we can't bring the images to you, but we can tell you what we saw.

Mainly what we witnessed was one ninja against the world kicking all sorts of ass. While you'd expect nothing less, the viciousness and speed of the attacks portrayed was nothing short of jaw-dropping. Combo attacks seem to be big, which is good because they look great. The sword is almost a character in and of itself, swinging and dancing as it delivers its message of death to whatever hapless goon crosses Ryu. The fighting all looks fluid but intense. It's tough to get a grip on how the game might control, but it looks like there are a lot of ways to use the sword... all of them deadly.

You'll need to be lethal, too. Judging from some of the uglies on display in this demonstration, you're going to need every last drop of ninja skill to survive. In one sequence in the trailer, Ryu takes on several samurai at once in a Japanese temple. Guess what? He's better than they are.

In another sequence, Ryu must dodge machine gun blasts from some pretty shady looking special forces types in body suits (think MGS or Blade II, the movie). Sure, they have machine guns with bayonets, but Ryu has himself and his trusty blade.

We also saw a more fantastic scenario where the ninja must scrap with several worms and large insects in a cave. Team Ninja's creature designs are great. If you saw these beasts, you'd want to kill them, too.

Another scene depicts Ryu going toe-to-tentacle with weird, upright walking meat creatures with heads made of fire. These crazy monsters move around on sinewy tentacles, and look like the bastard mixture of the Renaldos from Onimusha: Warlords and end boss Inferno from Soul Calibur.

Speaking of end bosses, the final sequence in the trailer showcased a huge, dragon-headed boss who would give H.R. Giger nightmares. This monster is massive--Ryu could fit in the palm of his hand. If you were wondering whether the enemies in Ninja Gaiden would be tough or not, wonder no more, because they look as nasty as a pit bull on PCP.

Although the trailer mainly displayed various battles in the game, it did reveal some cool control features as well. For instance, instead of merely clinging to walls, as you could do in the NES version of the game, Ninja Gaiden allows you to scurry up walls. The trailer revealed this ability in and amazing sequence where Ryu nimbly runs up and over the side of a decaying building, then leaps to a crumbling bridge and continues his fleet-of-foot jaunt safely to the other side. The sequence is reminiscent of, well, pretty much any ninja movie you've ever seen. But the effect has been nailed dead-on, and we can't wait to see what it feels like to control it.

The graphics look amazingly good as well. That almost doesn't need to be said, since we've already seen Team Ninja's handiwork in Dead or Alive 3 and trailers to DOA Xtreme Beach Volleyball. This game continues that proud tradition with beautiful backdrops, great animation, and imaginative creature design.

Certain games have that indefinable "cool" factor that makes them stand out from the crowd. Gaiden's factor is off the charts. After seeing this trailer, the game has shot to the top of our must-have list. We'll try to bring you moving pictures of it sometime soon, so you can see for yourself.
